Play by the Rules: Your Guide to Safe and Compliant Advertising
July 12, 2024

Navigating the complexities of online advertising can be challenging, especially when it comes to buying and selling traffic. At Trafficshop, we take compliance seriously to ensure a safe and effective advertising environment for everyone. That's why understanding our rules and guidelines is so important.

First Things First: Active Campaign Requirement

Many of you might  wonder, "Why does it take so long to approve the campaign?" Here's why:

Before determining if your advertisement meets our standards, there are a few steps you need to take. At least one campaign should be created. After creating a new campaign, our monitoring team conducts a thorough double-checking process:

Manual Review:

  1. We manually verify the opening of the landing page and the legitimacy of the offer.

  2. Sometimes, links are added to VirusTotal for additional scanning. (VirusTotal is an open platform for checking domains. Give it a try sometimes ;) It’s easy and can save us both some time!)

  3. Additionally, we use Avast, Norton, and Malwarebytes extensions to check for potentially harmful domains. (Many might say that these antivirus tools aren't the most trustworthy. However, these are the same AV tools that end users, for whom the ads are intended, rely. We want to ensure that they see your advertisement, not an alert from their antivirus system).

  4. Most importantly, we use Adsexplorer to check whether your campaign contains any redirects and ensure they are all clean. So, don't worry, we see it all!

This attention to detail is crucial if you want to engage with our advertising network!

Compliance Guidelines and Prohibited Content

To maintain a safe advertising network, we have a comprehensive list of rules and prohibited content. Adhering to these guidelines is essential for the approval and smooth operation of your campaigns

⛔️Auto-redirects to app stores or opening apps on user devices without authorization are not permitted in popunder ads

⛔️Misleading ads, fake scareware alerts, and campaigns containing malware or phishing content are strictly prohibited

⛔️Back button hijacking, auto-redirection, and landing pages with push notifications or browser-locking push notifications are not allowed

⛔️Products that auto-install or auto-download, ads that play sound, or cause mobile devices to vibrate without user interaction are not permitted

⛔️Promotion of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs is strictly prohibited

⛔️Campaign materials containing extreme violence, abuse, rape, blood, incest, scatophilia, urination, or bestiality are not allowed

These rules apply not only to pop ads but also to all other types of advertising we work with, including skimmed traffic, banners, and native ads.

This not only helps in getting your campaigns approved faster but also ensures a positive user experience and maintains the integrity of our platform.

Remember, don't take risks! Ask first or consult our guidelines to know what is safe to advertise. Think of us as the "safe word" of advertising—keeping things fun, but always within the limits. Together, we can create a secure and successful advertising environment for everyone.
